புதுச்சேரி, மார்ச் 23: புதுச்சேரி நல்லவாடு அரசு நடுநிலைப் பள்ளியில் உலக நீர் நாள் விழா திங்கள்கிழமை நடைபெற்றது.÷தேசிய பசுமைப் படை சார்பில் இவ் விழா நடைபெற்றது. விழாவில் பள்ளி தலைமையாசிரியர் ந.பரமசிவ ஐயர், நீரின் தேவை மற்றும் நீரை பாதுகாக்கும் முறைகள் குறித்து பேசினார்.÷விழாவில் மரங்கள் அலங்கரிப்பு மற்றும் மரங்களை தத்துக்கொடுத்தல், 8-ம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்களை வழியனுப்புதல் ஆகிய நிகழ்ச்சிகளும் நடைபெற்றது.÷குடிநீர் பற்றாக்குறை, மரங்கள் பாதுகாப்பு குறித்த நாடகங்கள், குழுப்பாடல்கள், கிராமிய நடனங்கள் நடைபெற்றது. தேசிய பசுமைப்படை பொறுப்பாசிரியர் ஆர்.இளங்கீரன், ஆசிரியர்கள் கோ.இளங்கோவன், ந.ரமேஷ் உள்ளிட்டோர் கலந்துகொண்டனர்
World water day fete in full flow
Staff ReporterPUDUCHERRY: The Government Middle School at Nallavadu buzzed with activities on the occasion of World Water Day celebrations on March 22.
NGC's activities
The National Green Corps (NGC) of the school lined up a number of activities for students including decorating trees and adopting a tree as part of the celebrations, according to a press release.
A farewell programme was held for Class VIII students of the school.
The students decorated the trees in the school campus with colourful streamers, while Class VII students adopted the trees from the outgoing students, the release added.
Programmes
Skits, group songs and folk dances on shortage of drinking water and conservation of trees were staged by students on the occasion. Headmaster of the school N. Paramasiva Iyer spoke on the methods to conserve water.
Teachers Ilangovan and N. Ramesh spoke on the importance of World Water Day. NGC in-charge R. Elankeeran was present, the release said.
